Boy that was quick!!

Where did January go?  I sure hope the rest of this year doesn’t go by as quickly as January did.  I swear it seems like it was just New Years a couple days ago.  One good thing, so far my idiot of an ex-husband or soon to be ex hasn’t called me anymore.  I really thought he would call work but he hasn’t as far as I know.

I thought he might have more sense than to do that but you never know with an idiot.  I have absolutely nothing against anyone being a lesbian or gay but why couldn’t he have figured that out before we got married, you know?  What was I to him, an experiment to see if he could be straight?  I guess the experiment didn’t work.  Oh well, such is life.

My Daddy used to watch this

My Daddy used to watch ‘Lost in Space’ when it was a TV show back in the late 60′s.  He said he always like the robot the best of all because he would wave his arms around and yell ‘Danger, Danger’ when something was wrong.  I used to laugh at him when he would show me how he did it.  It was funny when I was little.  Well I just found out the the man that played the robot on the series just died a few weeks ago.

Bob May, who donned The Robot’s suit in the hit 1960s television show “Lost in Space,” has died. He was 69. May died Sunday of congestive heart failure at a hospital in Lancaster, said his daughter, Deborah May.

He was a veteran actor and stuntman who had appeared in movies, TV shows and on the vaudeville stage when he was tapped by “Lost in Space” creator Irwin Allen to play the Robinson family’s loyal metal sidekick in the series that debuted in 1965.

“He always said he got the job because he fit in the robot suit,” said June Lockhart, who played family matriarch Maureen Robinson. “It was one of those wonderful Hollywood stories. He just happened to be on the studio lot when someone saw him and sent him to see Irwin Allen about the part. Allen said, ‘If you can fit in the suit, you’ve got the job.’”

I’m sure everyone has written about this

Yesterday was a day that will go down in history as a great day.  I”m sure that most everyone that has a blog or anything else has written about the inauguration of our new President Barack Obama.  All I have to say about it is I am glad to see that a MAN was elected because of his ideals and ideas for our country instead of the color of his skin.

I hope that for this office, the color of someones skin will no longer be defining of whether or not they are eligible for the Presidency.  It’s been a long time coming that we should see each other as a man or a woman and not by the color of our skin.

It’s finally Friday

Boy has this been a long week or what?  I had car trouble one morning and goodness my grandmother talked me into getting AAA.  All I had to do was call them and they were out where I was stuck in no time at all.  My battery had died and they got me going again and it didn’t cost me anything except for being late to work.  I went by Advance Auto Parts and they checked out my battery and said it was bad so I got a new battery.

Then another day some dummy pulled out in front of me and made me spill my coffee all over my dress.  I had to go home and change.  That was two mornings I was late for work.  I hate to be late.  It not only looks bad but can affect the whole rest of your day.  Do you know what I mean?  You start out behind and stay that way all day it seems.  Oh well, such is life I guess.  I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend at home now.

I changed my phone number

I don’t have a home phone because with a cell phone, I don’t need one.  My contract was about to end anyway with Sprint so I went to Verizon and got a whole new phone.  It’s a really cool Nokia that’s like a little computer with the Internet and everything, you know, a blue tooth I think is what it’s called. I’m not as up on stuff like that as I would like to be.

Anyway I got a new phone and a new phone number.  Now that jerk can’t call me anymore.  He knows the number to where I work but he won’t dare call there much at all.  He knows my lawyer will fry his rear end for harassment if he does.  I wonder how long it will take for him to call me at work?

That’s the best part about working in a lawyers office.  They really look out for me.  I don’t work for the lawyer that’s representing me.  He’s in the same offices but I work for two lawyers and Heather works for the other two technically.  I called Frank, my lawyer and told him what the jerk had done and he told me that if he asks for anything else, I should get a restraining order against him and he’ll think twice about asking for anything else.  I just might have to do that.
