My washing machine is going out
The other night I was washing clothes and smelled something burning. A friend was over to have dinner with me and asked me what I was burning, I was in the kitchen and no I don’t usually burn dinner. Well when we opened the laundry room door, it was filled with smoke. Apparently when the washer spun, it didn’t spin and something got stuck with what ever it is that makes it spin. I thought it was the belt but I was informed that this type of washer doesn’t have a belt.
Anyway, it didn’t spin. I let it cool off and turned it back on to the last spin and it spun. It sounded a bit funny but it still did what it was supposed to do. The problem is it keeps making that funny sort of knocking noise when it’s washing or spinning now. I think it’s on its last leg and I hate the thought of buying a new washer.
