I was invited to Maryanne’s house to watch a webinar that was being put on by a new company that she wanted me to join. She was very excited about this new company and hopes to make a lot of money getting other people to join and buy the products and services. This meeting was supposed to be very informational about exactly what the company is all about and how the money is made.

Maryanne didn’t realize that her dial-up internet download service was not fast enough for us to watch the webinar. Maryanne and her hubby tinkered around with their connection between their laptop computer and their television for quite a while, thinking that the problem was with the connection between the two. When I suggested that perhaps the problem was with their internet service speed they had no idea what I was talking about. Not wanting to sound arrogant, I showed them how to check their downloading speed and explained that sometimes dial up is the only option out in the country side where they live, but sometimes there are things that just will not run properly with that. After tinkering around for about forty-five minutes, it was decided that we would adjourn and regroup another day at Maryanne’s office in town where her internet speed is faster.
