Be Gentle to Yourself

be-gentle

This is good advice. Sometimes we get down on ourselves. It is much better to be gentle with ourselves. I am going to spend the entire day with positive and upbeat self-speak. Why don’t you try it, too?

No Tragic Events Yesterday

posted by:

All day long I was on edge yesterday. With it being the 10th anniversary of the tragedies of Sept 11 in New York City, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon, I was hoping that the date would not bring another attack on our country. But anniversaries can trigger a lot of weird things. Thank goodness we had no trouble. We cannot afford to let our guard down and we must remain vigilant. But I am grateful for every day that goes by without another series of sad events caused by the radicals in other other countries striking out against us.

Picnic at the Lake

posted by:

Today we having a small group of friends get together after church and have a picnic at the Lake. There won’t be any small kids at this picnic – just us grownups. The only problem with having a gathering at the Lake is that you cannot reserve a spot – you have to just show up and hope that you can find an available grill and picnic table. So far we have been lucky to get a spot, but that is because we always get there early.

New Friends

Somehow my list of friends on Facebook keeps getting bigger. I think I have over 500 friends already. I am starting to wonder if I even know all these people! lol

One of the people who is my friend now is Rachel. I know we would not have ever met if it was not for Facebook, as she lives over 600 miles away from me. But we have really connected. I hope to get to meet her someday – maybe even this summer if I get away for a little va-ca-tion!

This Morning

Do you ever wake up before the alarm clock goes off? For some reason I woke up about 10 minutes before my alarm was supposed to ring. I laid there for a moment and then decided to get on up and get an early start to my day. I was able to take my time eating breakfast and getting dressed. I feel really good about starting my day without rushing around. I hope the rest of the day is as good as my morning!
